Participants in the First Aid, CPR, O2 and AED course learn how to operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely, quickly, and effectively in addition to providing first aid and CPR. Oxygen therapy is a treatment that provides you with supplemental, or extra, oxygen. During the course you will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident, casualties, by-standers and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

Requirements

To enroll in this course individuals must be employed in the Offshore Oil & Gas, Industrial or Offshore & Onshore Wind Energy Sectors.

23. Inhaled poisons: carbon monoxide; hydrogen sulfide; smoke; and other chemical fumes, vapors, and gases.
24. Knowledge of the chemicals at the worksite and of first aid and treatment for inhalation or ingestion;
25. Recognizing asphyxiation and the danger of entering a confined space without appropriate respiratory protection.
26. Responding to Medical Emergencies: Chest pain; Stroke; Breathing problems; Anaphylactic reaction; Hypoglycemia in diabetics taking insulin; Seizures; Pregnancy complications; Abdominal injury;
