Requirements
  • Suitable for Helideck Crew, Helideck Assistants (HDA), Helicopter Landing Officers (HLO), Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, Offshore Installation Managers (OIM), and personnel assigned to helideck emergency duties
  • Familiarity with offshore helicopter operations and helideck safety procedures is recommended.
  • Basic knowledge of fire prevention, emergency evacuation, and rescue procedures is desirable.
  • Ability to wear and use firefighting PPE and emergency rescue equipment during practical exercises.
  • Physically capable of handling firefighting equipment, including hoses, foam application systems, and portable extinguishers.
  • Previous offshore safety training (such as Basic Offshore Safety or equivalent) is recommended but may not be mandatory, depending on employer requirements.
  • Medically fit to participate in practical firefighting and emergency response exercises.
  • Basic understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Valid government-issued photo ID.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
