This comprehensive program is designed to prepare individuals for pivotal roles in managing maintenance operations and mechanical systems on offshore installations, non-propulsion vessels such as construction, pipe-lay, and accommodation barges, semisubs, and jackup drilling units.

Maintenance supervisors are usually individuals with commercial skills and extensive experience in the field. Depending on the job, appropriate qualifications, licenses, or specific skills may also be required.

  • 14. Shale Shaker – Design and Maintenance, Desander, Desilter and Mud Centrifuge.
  • 15. Mud Gas Separator and Vacuum Degasser, Cementing Unit / Batch Mixers.
  • 16. Silos for Cement & Barite and Transfer system to hopper.
  • 17. Triplex Mud Pump, Pulsation dampener, Suction dampener and Mud agitator.
  • 18. Marine Riser Tensioner and Traveling Block Heave compensator.
  • 19. Marine Riser Telescopic joint and Rotating joint for DP ships.
  • 20. Surface BOP control system and hydraulic arrangements.
  • 21. Subsea BOP control system and hydraulic, electric and acoustic arrangements .
Requirements
  • Four years of service aboard MOUs including at least one year of service as mechanic, motorman, sub sea engineer, electrician, toolpusher, unit superintendent, crane operator or equivalent supervisory position on MOUs.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree from a recognized school of technology and have one year of service as barge engineer, mechanic, motorman, sub sea engineer, electrician, toolpusher, unit superintendent, crane operator or equivalent supervisory position on MOUs.
  • Complete an industry accredited MOU course that addresses those subjects in Section 6.5 of IMO Resolution A.891(21)
