The Management of major Emergencies (MOME) training program is aimed at ensuring that personnel responsible for operational and management tasks in the hydrocarbon industry, whether onshore or offshore, maintain their competency standards. The training involves a simulated emergency situation with 4 to 6 participants, each assigned unique roles such as Installation Manager, Deputy Commander, Control Room Panel/ Radio Operator, Key Events Coordinator, and Muster & Logistics Coordinator.
Target Audience
This course is aimed at personnel who form part of the Emergency Response organisation onboard offshore facilities and who are required to manage emergencies such as OIM, production and maintenance superintendents, on scene commander & fire team leader, Installation Emergency Management Teams, Control Room Operators, Onshore Emergency Co-ordination Centres and Pipeline Operators.

- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in emergency response, health and safety, or any offshore/onshore operational role is preferred.
- Prior completion of basic safety training (e.g., BOSIET, HSE, or offshore safety training) may be required.
- Good physical condition to handle the physical demands of emergency response situations.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills are essential, as the course involves coordinating in crisis situations.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, team-based environments.
- A genuine interest in improving emergency management skills and responding to large-scale crises.
