EOT Crane Operator

The EOT Crane Operator, conducted by Elite Offshore, provide participants with working knowledge to assist in reducing operation a Hydra & Farana Crane Operator. Electric overhead traveling crane or EOT crane is one of the most common types of overhead crane, or called bridge cranes, which consist of parallel runways with a traveling bridge spanning the gap. Our specially designed crane operator training program enables operators to make optimal use of their cranes.

Course overview

The course is designed to increase the participants’ level of knowledge in proper use and pre-operational inspection of overhead cranes. The course utilizes hands-on sessions in which loads are moved by EOT crane operator using the Operator’s Checklist. 

The course covers major crane components, safe operating practices, daily checklists, communications, and operator inspections per OSHA, documentation requirements, and hands on demonstrations. Each participant will have the opportunity to perform an actual pre-operation inspection that is required by OSHA.

Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Physical Health: Good vision, hearing, and overall fitness; medical exam may be required.
  • Basic Skills: Understanding of mechanical equipment and basic math for load calculations.
  • Training Enrollment: Must be enrolled in an accredited course with both theoretical and practical components.
  • Safety Knowledge: Must understand safety regulations and procedures.
