Course overview

The purpose of the HLO Refresher training program is to equip delegates with  understanding and skills required to safely and effectively perform the role of Offshore Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO). Participants gain insight into the importance of advance planning and basic resources for helicopter emergencies. They also study the unique challenges of limited emergency response in unused areas (NUI) and how these may impact on helideck emergency response. The training will help HLOs handle helicopter-related emergencies. By equipping delegates with essential skills, the program enhances safety standards and improves emergency response in offshore helicopter operations, thus creating crew.
