- 9. Identify and list typical hazards associated with rigging and lifting activities

- 11. Explain how to check that there is adequate access, space and lighting within designated work area
- 12. Identify the various types of personal protective equipment (PPE) the Rigger would typically use
- Module II - Silingman’s Operations
- 1. Checking the load for dropped objects
- 2. Checking the balance and security of the load
- 3. Difficulties that might occur during the lifting and moving operations
- 4. The need for high visibility vests
- 5. The need for communicating hand signals clearly
- 6. What is meant by ‘line of sight’ and a ‘blind lift’
- 7. The hand signal for ‘emergency stop’
- 8. Practical demonstration of various hand signals
